The Equivio story - from pain to exit in 10 years

Success story of Equivio
Equivio was founded with a specific customer pain in 2004, and 10 years later was acquired by Microsoft. 
In the interim, we grew from 3 people to 30, and built a portfolio of 5 products, 12 patents, nearly 100 customers and many millions of dollars in revenues and in profits. 
The talk will describe this journey, focusing on the key lessons we learned along the way.
Amir is a General Manager, Engineering at the Microsoft Israel R&D Center, working in the Equivio team which is part of Office365. Amir was a co-founder and CEO of Equivio that was acquired by Microsoft in January 2015. Equivio provides text analytics solutions for legal and compliance based on a court-approved machine learning platform for business process of e-discovery. Prior to Equivio, Amir co-founded and was vice president of marketing and business development at Xyleme, a company specializing in XML-based content management systems. At Xyleme, Amir was responsible for product strategy, the development of sales channels, and the penetration into new markets and regions. Before Xyleme, Amir served as a director of software development at Amdocs. In this role, Amir led billing system projects for communications companies in the U.S., Europe and the Middle East. Amir holds bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science from the Technion in Israel, and an MBA from the University of Toronto.
