Also known as the Jesus Church or the Savior Church.
In 1861, British sailors visited in Nazareth. After not locating any church suitable for them, they have approached the leader of the Anglican Church in England and asked him to build a church.
A year later, during Easter, the Prince of Wales was visiting in Nazareth as well (Prince Eduard VI), and donated money for building the church which was built by “The Missionary Church Association” and established in 1871. The Swiss reverent Joseph Sieller**, who served his community for almost 20 years, has donated a lot of his time to this project. The church was built in a Neo-Gothic style according to a design by the Swiss architect Schtedler**.
